VEST, WILLIAM E. "ERNIE" SR., 88, beloved husband of Mary E. Vest passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014. He was born April 3,1925 in Louisville, KY. Ernie was a proud Navy Veteran of World War II, a member of the Navy boxing team and Navy deep sea drivers. He was co-owner of Brown and Vest Construction Company. He was preceded in death by his sons, William E. Vest Jr., Hollie A. Vest and Terry B. Hardin. He will be greatly missed by his children, Clara M. Hamze and Mary Rita Owings; stepchildren, W. Doland Wright and E. Carol Wright; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren with burial at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
