William Cutrer

CUTRER, DR. WILLIAM "BILL" RICHARD, 62, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013.

Born in New Jersey, he held both the C. Edwin Gheens Professorship of Marriage and Family Ministries at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and served as physician to the campus medical clinic. Formerly an OBGYN in Dallas, TX, he also pastored Wildwood Baptist Church in Mesquite, TX. Additionally, Bill previously directed A Woman's Choice in downtown Louisville. He was a graduate of the University of Kentucky Medical School (1976) and Dallas Theological Seminary (1993) and a member of Crestwood Baptist Church.

Passionate about many things, he helped others draw closer to the Lord, especially through guiding those with pregnancy and infertility issues and encouraging the development and sanctity of marriage.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ben Cutrer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Jane; mother, Joan; sons, Dr. Bill Cutrer (Elisabeth) and Robert Cutrer (Meredith); daughter, Jennifer Snow (Casey); brothers, Dr. Bob Cutrer (Carol) and Dr. Ken Cutrer (Gretchen); sister, Susan Bradbury; and grandchildren, Emily, Zachary, Maddie, Abigail, Alexis and Victoria.

His celebration of life will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Crestwood Baptist Church, 6400 Sweet Bay Dr., Crestwood, 40014 with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial East Cemetery.
