Wilbur Underwood

Underwood, Wilbard L. Sr.,87, of Louisville, passed on October 3, 2014 at Baptist Health.He was born February 12, 1927 in Louisville and was a loving father and grandfather.He was in the Maintenance Department for American Air Filter 30 years. Wilbard was a member of St. James Catholic Church and the Disabled American Veterans. He served his country proudly in the Army in World War II.He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Betty Underwood; son, Peter Hanisch Underwood; brother, Bernard Underwood; sister, Janice Paul.Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Veta L. Underwood; five children, Wilbard Lee Underwood Jr. (Cathy), Betty Jaggers (Brent), Evelyn England (Barry), Paula Mishjon (Chuck), Mary Hornek (Joseph); eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.His funeral Mass will be conducted at St. James Catholic church.
