Sallie Estelle Calvert

Sallie Estelle Calvert, aged 93, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023. Born in Abbeville, SC, on February 18, 1930, to the late Pierce and Vera Sorrow. On September 25, 1949, Sallie married Robert L. Calvert and they remained together until his passing in 2015. She was a dedicated employee who retired from the old Zayre Department Store, and was a member of Audubon Park United Methodist Church.

Sallie is preceded in death by her husband, Bob; son-in-law, Perry Daunhauer; and four siblings. She is survived by her nine children: Bobby Calvert (Sharon), Louise Cobb, Judy Coates (Rex), Tom (Lisa), Jim (Connie), Carl (Anne), Kitty Daunhauer, Paula Lynn Shackelford (Mike), and Nita Blevens (Donnie); 28 grandkids, 22 great-grandkids, and 1 great-great-grandkid.

Sallie spent most of her life caring for her family. Memorial gifts may be made to Audubon Park United Methodist Church or to Hosparus.
