Robert Purcell

Robert Purcell, age 74, passed away on January 13, 2023.

Robert is preceded in passing by his biological parents and his brother, Danny Ferguson. Here to carry on his memory is his adoring wife, Sonya Purcell; his mother Mary Glore; his children Renee Purcell, Rachel Villagomez (Sergio); Ronnie Drake, and Brandon Drake; his grandchildren Kaitlyn Allen (Elizabeth Ladle), Daniela Olvera (Jon Rogers). Thomas Allen, Jr.; Victor Olvera (Anna Lowe); Isabela Olvera, and Cassandra Villagomez; five great grandchildren; his siblings James Albert Purcell, Freddy Ferguson, and Wanda Sullivan; his mother and father-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and a host of extended family and friends.

Robert prided himself as a family man at heart. His favorite thing in the world was spending time with his family, especially all of his grandbabies. A veteran of the truck tire business since 1970, he knew the industry inside out and more importantly, he made great working relationships with everyone along the way. A hobby of his was collecting, mostly to do with anything Americana including knives, flags, and pictures. He also enjoyed decorating the house with images of the Lord's Supper, the Lord's Prayer, as well as the plaques of his favorite Bible verses and angel figurines watching over.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at Louisville Memorial Gardens East, 11601 Ballardsville Road. A graveside service in Robert’s honor will follow immediately at 2:00 PM in Louisville Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
