Richard Rosenbaum, Sr.

Richard L. Rosenbaum, Sr. of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the age of 88. Richard worked for Fischer’s Packing Company as a butcher for 41 years. In his free time he was an outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting, fishing and hunting for golf balls. Richard is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Cecilia Rosenbaum (nee Cunningham); daughters, Susan Allen and Nancy (Kenny) Brunk; sons, Richard (Helen) Rosenbaum, Jr. and Gary (Nancy) Rosenbaum; 9 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and sister, Ruth (Eddie) Wheeler. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bob and Junior Rosenbaum and his parents, Farrell and Erma Rosenbaum. Visitation will be Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 2 to 7 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East, 11601 Ballardsville Rd. Funeral Service will follow on Friday, September 17th at 10 am at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in Richard’s name to Hosparus Health.
