Howerton, Peggy Othea,
89, of Louisville, KY, formerly of Lexington, KY, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital, Russell, KY.
Peggy was born March 19, 1925 as a Middleton but was raised in the Tallby family. She was of the Christian faith in St. Matthews. She was a homemaker and worked at Target for 20 years. Had a giving heart and took care of many homebound friends.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Euell Bryan Howerton; one son, Ewell "Sonny" Graydon Howerton; one daughter, Barbara Dale; one brother, Graydon; and one sister, Jewel.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Howerton of Crestwood, KY and John (Deanee) Howerton of Greenup, KY; and one grandson, Michael Howerton of Greenup, KY.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Donna and Brian Glass of the Glass House Family Care for the love and care they provided.
Graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2015 at Louisville Memorial Gardens East in Louisville, KY.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH, 45250-0301.
