Moosa Baki-Hashemi

July 5, 1920 — July 6, 2015

Seyed Moosa Baki-Hashemi, 95, husband of Ziba Zoroofi, died Monday July 6, 2015 at Jefferson Manor in Louisville. He was born July 5, 1920 in Karbala, Iraq.
He was a retired Oral Surgeon having been a founding member of the Dental Association of Iran and founding member and board member of the Dental Society of Iran. He published over 45 research articles, performed the first tooth implant in Iran, was a founding member of the Central Medical Judiciary Organization of Iran, was professor of Oral Pathology of the University of Tehran and Dean of the Dental School at the National University of Iran.
He loved reading, writing, talking, hiking and gardening. He always believed that this world would be a better place to live in if everyone did the right thing, simply because it is the right thing to do.
Besides his wife he is survived by his daughters, Roya Halahel and Parisa Razavi, sons, Hamid and Saeid Baki and sister, Sima. Grandchildren, Katie, Lydia, Alex ,Kaivon, Kaveh, Sarah, Farid, Cyrus, Armin, Mina and great grandchild, Paxton.
Private family services are planned.
