Allene was a doting wife, mom, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. A wonderful homemaker, Allene was always making extravagant meals and desserts to spoil her family. She made sure to keep plenty of toys around for her grandbabies and great-grandbabies, who she treasured spending time with. Allene lived and loved freely and can easily be described as “the embodiment of Christianity”. Becoming hearing-impaired later in her life, Allene was sure to find the value in anyone with a disability and taught sign language to anyone willing to learn. She also adored the Kentucky Wildcats, taking the time to learn about the players individually and deeming the Basketball team “The Boys!” The most common phrase people used when they met her the first time was, “she’s so cute!”
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 13, 2023, at Louisville Memorial Gardens East, 11601 Ballardsville Road, from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with a funeral service in Allene’s honor beginning at 1:00 PM. Allene will be laid to rest in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Aid The Silent.
