MarTina Ann Allgood

MarTina Ann Allgood, a beloved member of her community, passed away on January 23, 2024, in Bloomington, Indiana. She was born on August 19, 1957, in Louisville, Kentucky to Leroy Huber and Betty Jane Huff. MarTina leaves behind a legacy of hard work, compassion, and unwavering belief in others.

 

MarTina began her career in the medical field as a Qualified Medical Assistant (QMA). She dedicated many years to serving others through her work before embarking on a new path. Driven by her desire to make a difference, she joined the police academy and became a corrections officer. This transition demonstrated her continuous pursuit of personal growth and her commitment to public service.

 

Throughout her life, MarTina demonstrated strength and determination in everything she pursued. Known as a straight talker with a generous spirit, she pushed people to reach their full potential. Her firm belief in others sometimes exceeded their own self-belief. MarTina's forgiving nature was almost to a fault but it showcased her unconditional love for those around her.

 

MarTina had many passions outside of work. She found solace and joy in art, particularly painting and jewelry making. Trains held a special place in her heart and would often captivate her attention. MarTina will be remembered for her love of collecting various items, with cute little containers being among her cherished treasures.

 

Her faith played an essential role throughout her life. As a devout Christian, MarTina always supported In Touch Ministries and its mission to spread the message of hope and compassion.

 

MarTina Allgood was an incredible individual who touched the lives of numerous family members and friends. She is survived by her children Phillip Henry, and Elizabeth; stepdaughter Autumn; son-in-law Daniel; grandchildren LanieRay, BobbyGene, JD, Destiny; great-grandchild Kylee; and sisters,  Angela Webb and Rocklin Heath.. She in preceded in death by her father, Leroy Huber; mother, Betty Jane Huff; step-father Kenny Huff; daughter, Kimberly Jane; and brother Albert "Butch" Lawson; 

 

MarTina will be deeply missed by her loved ones and the community that held her in high regard. Her unwavering belief in people and her dedication to serving others will continue to inspire us all. Let us celebrate MarTina Allgood's life and the positive impact she made during her time with us. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
