In the early morning hours of August 8th, 2022, our loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend was welcomed home into the arms of Jesus.
Martha Anne McDaniel, 82, was born the eldest of six sisters on October 30th, 1939, in St. Claire, Missouri, to the late William Hicks and Eula Burton. Throughout her life, she was very dedicated to her Baptist faith. As a member of Shawnee Baptist Church, she exhibited what it meant to love others and to share the gospel.
Along with her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her infant son, Kenneth; sister, Ina Kay Todd; and grandson, Michael Ford.
Left to cherish her memories is her daughter, Virgie (Mark) Fietsch; her sons, David (Tammy), Dennis, and Doug McDaniel; her grandchildren, Allison Fietsch, Tiffany (Josh) Johnson, Mary Wardean, Jason Shellanburgur, Brittany (Jay) Jackson, Leah, Cassie, Aaron, Jack (Morgan), Dennis, Amy, Austin (Allyson), and Riley McDaniel; her sisters, Barbara Midkiff, Nancy (John) Solfisburg, Janet (Dale) Driskell, and Billie (Tim) Fisher; along with 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services to celebrate Martha’s life will be held at 1PM on Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East, 11601 Ballardsville Road. Interment will immediately follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens Cemetery East. Friends may call on the family from 10AM until service time at the funeral home. Her son, Pastor David McDaniel, will be officiating.
