Our Lord and Savior called Mark Wayne Vernon, age 63, home on January 30, 2017. He made the transition surrounded by his loving family.
Born on March 28, 1953, in Louisville, KY. Mark lived his life through God, his family, and work.

He was preceded in death by his father Woodrow Wilson Vernon, his mother Golda Vernon(Braden), his brother James Vernon, and sister Joyce Maze(Vernon).

He is survived by his best friend, soulmate, and wife JoAnn Vernon. His oldest son Markus Vernon(wife Stephanie), his youngest son Steven Vernon. Older Brother Russell Vernon and younger sister Paula Dusel. Grandchildren Bryce Vernon, Eden Vernon, and Henry Vernon

Mark was a graduate of Butler High School and later attended college. He was well-respected at Carbide Industries for 43 years. He started at the bottom and worked every department at the plant, and after several job changes found his way to his current title of Senior Process Engineer. He designed and implemented the automation of almost every aspect of the plant. Mark had an amazing mind and loved his career and work family.

Mark lived his life to the fullest and the love for his wife, children, family, and work shown in his daily life.
He will be missed dearly. He was an amazing husband, father, friend, mentor, brother, teacher, grandparent, ect..
