Marillyn Rose Scharfenstein White, 86, passed away on August 4, 2015 in Louisville.
Marillyn was all about her Faith and her Family. To her, family included many special friends, plus caregivers at Episcopal Church Home. Unnamed, they know they are included. Andrea Shuff won Marillyn's love by visiting regularly and showing her photos of family on Facebook.
Marillyn's parents were Leslie Lange and Florence Miller Scharfenstein (both deceased) of New Orleans. She had six sisters and three brothers. Her husband of 63 years was Clyde White, Jr. Her children are Leslie Clyde White (Sun Hee), Lawrence James White (Sheila), Richard Brent White (Lisa), Florence White Wallace (Jeff Wallace), and Alan Kent White (Shannon). She leaves ten grandchildren (Leslie Kim White Williamson, Steven Brent White, Tyler Rhee, Rebecca Rose White, Leah Frances White, Laurie Marie White, Richard Brent White II, Kinsey Grace Wallace, Roberta Estelle Wallace, Allison Anne Wallace) and four great grandchildren (Alyssa, Addisyn, and Autumn Williamson, and Alexis White).
A memorial service will be held at Broadway Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, followed by a private burial.
