Marie Ciliberti

CILIBERTI, MARIE JOSEPHINE, 84, of Louisville, was clothed by the grace of God, Monday, September 23, 2013. She was born in West New York, NJ. Marie was the second of four sisters. As a teenager, she was a model in New York and worked for Carrier Corporation. She was an extraordinary and devoted mother of seven children. She touched many more children's lives at St. Joseph Children's Home and at KinderCare child care and learning centers. Marie opened the House of D'Orsi Art Gallery and went to college at the University of Louisville at a time when mothers did not go back to college. She was preceded in death by her beloved, Angelo Anthony Ciliberti, MD; and son, Richard James Ciliberti. She is survived by her children, Salvatore (Gayle), Edward, Gregory (Kay), Olivia (John), Maria (Dale) and Angela (Shawn). She is also survived by her sisters, Sally Malone and Joan Webster; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3345 Lexington Rd., with private entombment in Louisville Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be Wednesday 4-9 p.m. at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Rd., "In St. Matthews".
