Lovell Shaun Willis

Lovell Shaun Willis, age 19, of Louisville, passed away suddenly at home on March 25, 2024. His family are shocked and deeply saddened by his loss.

Lovell was born on October 15, 2004 to Monique Jones and Stanley Willis in Louisville, Kentucky. After graduating from highschool  in 2023,  Lovell made it his goal to join the United States Marine Corps and was working towards that goal to be the best Marine he could be. 

He loved football, four wheeling, dirt biking  and gaming, particularly online co-op style games. Lovell was a bright and kind individual. He was maturing into a responsible young man who cared about his country’s well being, was respectful of everyone around him, and wanted to associate with people that he knew would bring out the best in him.

Like many, Lovell had his struggles, but he never gave up, and always made his mother proud.  

Anyone who knew him, knew that he was a good friend, a loving son, and an amazing brother and cousin. In many ways, he was still finding himself, but even so, Lovell was always a source of positivity. His family and friends will miss him more than words can say.

A public visitation will be held at Louisville Memorial Gardens East Funeral Home, located at 11601 Ballardsville Rd, Louisville, KY, 40241, on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 4:00-7:00 in the evening. Visitation will resume the following morning at 10:00 o’clock and will continue until the funeral service at 1:00PM with burial immediately to follow.
