Lora Blanche Redmon, beloved wife, mother, and gifted woman, passed away peacefully at home in Louisville, Kentucky on April 16, 2024. She was born on June 23, 1940, in the same city where she and her husband of 65 years built a wonderful life together.
Lora led a vibrant and fulfilling life that touched the hearts of many. With a diverse life that included being a fashion model, and a representative of fashion clothing and jewelry, she excelled in every endeavor she undertook. However, it was her role as a devoted mother that truly defined her. Lora poured her heart and soul into raising her children with love, care, and unwavering dedication.
In her youth, Lora graduated from Louisville Male High School where she not only showcased her athletic prowess as a basketball player and a cheerleader but was so well liked by her classmates that she was voted as the most popular in her senior class. Her talents and charm radiated through everything she did.
Beyond her professional and educational achievements, Lora was a woman of strength and profound faith in Jesus Christ. Her kindness was as boundless as her resolve, and those who knew her cherished her for these remarkable qualities. She dedicated time to teaching Sunday school to the young ladies of her church, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of many. She will forever be remembered for her generosity and gratitude by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Lora is survived by her loving husband Teddy; their sons Michael (Debbie), Terrance (Rhonda), and David (Sheryl); her three sisters Shirley, Lana, and Marsha; and her 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also reunited in eternal peace with her father Everett Edward Garrett and mother Mae Hignight Garrett.
