CORNELIUS, KINGSFORD "KING," 83, of Louisville, KY, departed this life on December 2, 2013 surrounded by family at the Regency Care Center.

He was a native of Russellville, KY, and was born to Mabel and Eldon Cornelius on April 16, 1929.

Kingsford is survived by his brother, Wayne Cornelius.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald and George; and one precious granddaughter, Paige.

Kingsford is survived by his loving wife and lifelong sweetheart, Betty Jean Cornelius. Kingsford's greatest happiness was his family and serving his God. He is survived by six children, Sheila (Walter) Adcock of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Belinda (Chris) Urbano of Elizabethtown, KY, Ronald, (Diane) Cornelius, Rebecca (Craig) Mulligan and Pamela (Rick) Goff all of Louisville, KY, and Michael (Laura) Cornelius of Tampa, FL. He has eight grandchildren and one great-grandson, Christopher Bryan, Stephanie, Bronson, Benny, Brice, R.J., departed granddaughter Paige, Matthew, Amber and Christopher James, great-grandson.

Kingsford worked many years in his Church, He was an active member of the Gospel Assembly Church of Louisville, KY, the Gospel Kingdom Church of Louisville, KY, the Shepherdsville, KY Gospel Chapel and finally with his daughter and son-in-law at the Open Door Assembly Church in Elizabethtown, KY.

Kingsford was retired from Rohm & Haas Corp. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and vacationing with his family. He was an avid photographer, and especially enjoyed nature.

. Burial will be at the Louisville Memorial Gardens East on Ballardsville Road.
