Kathleene Jordan

JORDAN, KATHLEENE (KAY), 92, left this world on Friday, April 4, 2014 peacefully at home. She was born March 21, 1922 in Birmingham, Alabama. She grew up in Macon, Georgia. She was the daughter of Harry Brown Bible, Sr. and Tennie Thomas. Kathleene graduated from Tift College; later receiving a Master's degree from University of Louisville. In 1943 she married her college sweetheart Samuel Clifford Jordan, Sr. Kay was a devoted High School English teacher at Westport and Eastern High Schools. She was a member of Lyndon Baptist Church, enjoyed lifelong friends, travel, and watching sunsets on the beach. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam; grandson, David; and brother, Harry Bible. Kay is beloved by her three children, Cliff (Harriet) Jordan, Karen (Steve) Johns of Florida, and Bill (Mary) Jordan. She was also a proud grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday at Lyndon Baptist Church, 8025 New LaGrange Road with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
