Karl Greenrose

GREENROSE, KARL J., 92, of Crestwood, died January 2, 2014, at his home with his family around him. He was born October 2, 1921, in Louisville. He was an Army veteran of World War II, founder of the Harrods Creek fire department in 1952, a member of United Midget Racing Association and also a founder of Harrods Creek Field & Stream. Karl was preceded in death by his grand daughter, Susan Heather Scott and great-granddaughter, Alexandra Lockard Scott. He is survived by his devoted wife of 74 years, Jane Greenrose; three children, Robert E. Greenrose (Alma), Karl John Greenrose III, and Donna Scott (Stuart); six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank Lee Greenrose and Richard Greenrose; and sister Ines Johnson. with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
