Justine Clements

Justine Cheek Clements, 88, of Louisville and a native of Pineville, KY. was born a coal miners daughter, in eastern KY. coal country, in a hollar between Pine Mountain and the Cumberland River, to a poor but happy family. She worked hard all of her days, found life joyful, took things in stride, rarely complained about a thing, and grew to become a women ahead of her time. Finishing her education at Baptist Hospital Louisville as a Surgical RN, she began her career at Methodist Hospital and then went on to retire from Suburban Hospital, after a long and successful career that she dearly loved and devoted herself to. Justine's living legacy was making a friend of every person she ever met or even passed on the street. To know Justine was to love her. Her first husband, William Bradley, preceded her in death. The greatest joy in her later life was finding love a second time in her husband James E. Clements (deceased).

Justine left this earthly plane wrapped in a shroud of love.

She is survived by her 4 devoted and loving (step) children: sons, Gregory M. Clements (Debbie) and Mark R. Clements; daughters Lynn M. Ringo (Dean) and Lesa C. Miller (Louis "Dusty"); and grandchildren Lauren Metcalf (Kevin), E. Blair Mathis (Lucas) and Adam Ringo (Samantha), and five great grandchildren.

A service celebrating Justine’s life will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, December 28, 2018 at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East (11601 Ballardsville Rd.) Visitation will be from 10:00 am til 1:00 pm. Immediately following the service everyone is welcome to join the family until 5:00 pm in the funeral home reception area for a time of sharing memories of Justine.
