Julia McRoberts

Julia Faye (Noel) McRoberts, 79, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. She was born on December 13, 1943, to the late Leonard and Stella (McKinney) Noel, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Julia attended Oldham County High School and graduated in 1961. She was famously known within her family for her amazing biscuits and cushaw pie, and she was always excited to teach others how to make them. Julia was an incredibly nice, fun, and loving person, when she hugged you, you felt nothing but love. To say that she was an Elvis fan is an understatement; Julia attended 7 Elvis concerts, with her first one being in 1956. Julia’s love for Elvis extended into her sharing her knowledge by promoting and judging Elvis tribute artists, with Eddie Miles, of Bardstown, KY, being her most favorite. She could always accurately train artists to mimic the exact movements of Elvis for the utmost authenticity.
Julia will be greatly missed.
Left to cherish Julia’s memory are her daughters, Carole Bloch, Lisha Kunker (Bill), DeeDee Kelly (Rick), and MaryBeth Hall (Miles); her brothers, Buddy Noel (Nancy) and Greg Noel; her grandchildren, Michael Truitt (Carrie), Sarah Truitt, Destin Kohorst (Will), Denny Kunker (Natalie Perrino), and John Thomas Kelly; along with her great-grandchildren, Aiden, Ava, Jackson, Samuel, Eleanor and Channing.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Homes East, 11601 Ballardsville Road, with Dr. Geoff Lacefield officiating. Friends may call on the family on Monday from 1PM until 7PM at the funeral home.
