Douglas Wisner of Taylorsville, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the age of 69. Douglas was a gregarious and fun-loving man, known to those who loved him as “Dangerous Doug.” He was a lifelong mechanic who loved working on cars and tinkering on all sorts of gadgets, even when it would perhaps be safer not to do so. He loved fishing and always enjoyed time spent at the lake with his family.
Douglas leaves behind his ex-wife, Theresa Pendygraft; children, Tonya Spaulding, Michael Wisner, Heather Metts and Jason Stephens; grandchildren, Brandi (Russell) Wisner, and James Decker; great-granddaughter, Roux Wisner Knight; sisters, Virginia (Earl) Bennett and Vicki Shenks; brothers, Gregory (Becky) Wisner, Richard (Mary) Wisner, and Kenneth (Joann) Smith. He is preceded in death by his parents, Merril & Mary Wisner; ex-wife Viola Wisner, Sisters, Marlena (Roy) Edmonson, Barbara (Bill) Ward; and brothers Dennis Smith, Merril Smith, and James Wisner.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2023, from 10am until the service at 2pm, at Louisville Memorial Gardens East Funeral Home, 11601 Ballardsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40241.
