Douglas Lee Hensel Sr., 76, husband of Patricia Lee Hensel, died Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Green Valley Nursing Home in New Albany, Indiana.
Doug was born in Louisville March 5, 1942. He worked with the Louisville Archdiocese for 42 years in publishing the Catholic Record. He had also been a U.S. Air Force Reservist.
Besides his wife he leaves to cherish his memory, step-daughter, Kim McIntyre (J. Patrick), grandson, Brandon Johnson, 3 step grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica & Tyler and 2 step great grandchildren, Sophie Rose & Berkli Palmer.
The family wishes to thank Patti Naiser of Senior Home Transitions and Green Valley Nursing Home of New Albany for their kindness and excellent care.
A private service was held April 7, 2018 at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East. Burial followed at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
The family has kindly suggested memorials to the Alzheimers Associaition, Kaden Tower 6100 Dutchmans Lane, Suite 401, Louisville, Ky. 40205
