CARLSON, CHARLES V. "CHUCK," 88, passed away Friday, September 11, 2009 at Jefferson Place.
He was born in Chicago, IL, graduated from Augustana College, and was an Army veteran of World War II. He worked for GE for 35 years, was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church, and a Mended Hearts volunteer. He was also an avid bridge player and golfer.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Phyllis; son Eric Carlson (Celeste Siade); daughter, Lisa McKenzie (Chris); and six grandchildren, Nathan, Katie, Sarah, Alex, Anna and Mary Grace. His visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Pearson-Ratterman Funeral Home 12900 Shelbyville Road. His funeral service will be at noon Monday at Ascension Lutheran Church.
