Butch Shay

Butch Shay, 67, husband of Renee Shay, died Sunday , June 22, 2014 at his home. He was born in Louisville February 5, 1947 the son of the late William A. & Helen L. Morrison Shay Sr. Butch was a member of Eastside Praise Ministries Center,and had worked at National Distillery and International Harvester. He was also a skilled mechanic. Most notably was his love of racing, having drove on the UMP Circuit for late model and modified. Besides his wife of 47 years he is survived by his daughter Julie Shay. Butch was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Morgan Lea Basey
A service celebrating Butch's life will be held 4:00 pm Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm Sunday until service time.
