Beverly Ann Holbrook, 78, passed away peacefully on Friday October 23, 2020 at her residence in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born on April 15, 1942 in Portland, Oregon, the daughter of the late Arthur and Maggie Camp. Besides her loving husband of 45 years, James, she leaves her memory to be cherished by her daughters, Sheri Showalter (Charles) and Kristin Bentley (Chris), sons, Ken Rick (Rhonda), Scott Rick (Donna), Chris Holbrook (Andi), sisters, Verna Schnitzer (John), Connie Lou Rushing (Don), Loita Johnson (Wayne), Mary Ann Kiser, Nancy Schwiening, brothers, Joe (Sonia) and Woody Camp, as well as 13 grandchildren, Scott Rick, Jr. (Mandy), Kenny Rick, Kayla Satterly (Taylor), Christian Rick (Samantha), Karly Rick, Hunter Showalter, Emma Bentley, Ellen Holbrook, Trae Rick, Sarah Showalter, David Bentley, Russell Holbrook, and Christopher Showalter, 6 great-grandchildren, Makenzie Rick, Tucker Shinkle, Levi Satterly, Ryder Phillips, Mia Rick, and Millie Rick.
Bev worked as a data processing manager for many years. She was a member of Southeast Christian Church and above all else, she loved the Lord. Bev treasured her time with the women’s Bible study group. She was a liver transplant recipient of 17 years and very active in promoting organ donation. Beverly attended the Transplant Games of America 7 times, representing Team Kentucky, where she won multiple gold medals in Bowling. Bev was a loving and kind person that cherished time with her family and friends. A service celebrating her life will be held at 12:00 on Wednesday October 28, 2020 at Southeast Christian Church, 920 Blankenbaker Parkway, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A visitation will be held an hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to SecondChanceKy.Org.
