72, passed away Wednesday July 23, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born December 6, 1941, in Louisville to the late Emerson and Dorothy Ray.
She was an accountant for many years for the Brown and Williamson Company.
Bettye was a longtime member of Immanuel United Church of Christ.
She is survived by her dedicated husband, John H. Cope SR; son, John H. Cope JR. (Jennifer); daughter, Julie Hammond (Josh); four grandchildren; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 2300 Taylorsville Road at 11 a.m. on Saturday July 26, 2014 with burial to follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
