Betty Jo Fuelling

BETTY JO FUELLING, 78, beloved Wife, Mother and Nana, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital with her family by her side.  She was born on October 10, 1945, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Alton and Mary Cantrell.  Betty attended Assumption High School and graduated from Seneca High School.  She was a Member of St. Edward Catholic Church and a longtime citizen of Jeffersontown, Kentucky.  She retired from Trinity High School after 20+ years and enjoyed volunteering with different organizations throughout her life.  Betty loved her grandchildren, family, friends, the University of Kentucky, dogs, football, law enforcement, and chocolate.  She was passionate about politics, was an avid President Donald Trump supporter and loved her country.  She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Sipes (Buddy); son, Chris Fuelling (Jennifer); stepmother-in-law, Ann Fuelling; sister-in-law Jan Fowler (Greg), nephew Jack Burton (Linda); neice Debbie Burton (Frank); grandchildren, Bryce Sipes, Elli and Gracie Fuelling; and best friend Lorinda Shewmaker (Bill).  Betty is preceded in death by her husband Jerry W. Fuelling; father Alton Cantrell, mother Mary Cantrell; sister, Shirley Burton (Jack); sister, Joyce Tichenor; brother, Thomas Cantrell; father-in-law Walter Fuelling; brother-in-law Jimmy Fuelling; and mother-in-law Suzanne Harper.

Services will be Friday, November 17, 2023, with visitation beginning at 11 A.M. and the funeral service at 1 P.M. at Louisville Memorial Gardens East, 11601 Ballardsville Rd, Louisville, KY 40241.  In lieu of flowers,  please consider donating in Betty's name to the Kentucky Humane Society by calling 502-515-3145, or by visiting kyhumane.org .
