Our Staff

Chris Burns is a native of Louisville, Kentucky, and was raised in the Dixie Highway-PRP area. He was introduced to the funeral business at a very young age as he followed in his father's footsteps. He realized early in his young life that helping people in their time of need during an extremely difficult time was the career path he wanted to take. He is a graduate of Bishop-David High School in Louisville and from there, attended and graduated from Mid-America College for Funeral Service in 1986. He has worked for and held various positions in the funeral profession for 35 years including owning his own funeral home for 10 years. He has dedicated his adult life to serving others in their time of need.

Chris has been married since 2011 to the love of his life, Kathy, who is also a funeral director. He has a son, two step-children, and two beautiful granddaughters!

Cara is a 2014 graduate of Mid-America College of Funeral Service where she graduated with honors and was class treasurer.  She is a member of Pi-Sigma Eta, where she served as Tyler.  Cara has held various positions in the death care industry since 2008.  She grew up in the Mt. Vernon, IN area and graduated from Mt. Vernon Senior High School in 1996.  Cara has a servant's heart and has dedicated her career to serving others during their time of need.  She enjoys volunteering her time with various non-profit agencies and watching her grandson play sports.

Cara is the mother of two beautiful daughters, Jada and Karlie and has one grandson, Kaesin. 

Kristin came to Louisville in 2004 from Ipswich, Massachusetts and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Louisville in 2008. Unable to resist the call of funeral service forever though, she eventually returned to school and enrolled at Mid-America College of Funeral Service, from which she graduated as Salutatorian in 2020. As a licensed Embalmer and Funeral Director, Kristin is passionate about providing families with the best possible send-off for their loved ones.

In her spare time, you can find Kristin reading, working in her garden, and doting on her cat.
