William Doelker

William Albert Doelker, 76, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on July 18, 2022.  He was born December 31, 1945, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late William and Anna Doelker.

Preceding William in death was his wife, Regina Doelker.

Left to cherish the memories of William’s life is his son, Billy Doelker (Lisa); his daughter, Jennifer Owen (Micah); and his wonderful grandchildren, Hallee Doelker, Lilly Owen and Luke Doelker.

Bill was a hard-working man that served his country in the Army and worked for many years as a Ford auto mechanic at Tri-County Ford.  After retirement, he still enjoyed working on vehicles and could fix just about anything.  William was a man that was devoted to and loved his family, especially his three grandchildren.  He took great pride in the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. His love and dedication was evident through his constant presence and support at each and every game, ceremony, event, and holiday. His kind spirit shone through his willingness to help friends or family in any way he could at a moment’s notice. William loved fishing and keeping tabs on sports of all kinds, from NASCAR and golf and to baseball and horse racing. He was an avid Big Blue fan and loved cheering on the University of Kentucky wildcats.  He was an excellent cook and had a green thumb that was displayed in his bountiful garden plants year after year.

Funeral services for Bill will be at Noon on Friday, July 22, 2022, at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East, 11601 Ballardsville Road, Pastor Brian Sites, officiating.  Friends may call on Friday from 10AM until service time at the funeral home.  Interment will immediately follow with military rites at Louisville Memorial Gardens Cemetery East.
