Norma Jean Burch, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on August 15, 2022. She was born on August 5, 1941, in Boston, Kentucky.
Preceding Norma in death was her parents; her 2 granddaughters; along with her 2 brothers.
Left to cherish the memories of Norma’s life is her loving husband of 62 years, Robert Burch, Jr.; her children, Gina Ferguson (Fred) of Crestwood, Kentucky, Rob Burch (Chrissy) of Tampa, Florida, Donna Mechels (John) of Louisville, Kentucky, Randy Burch (Stephanie) of Louisville, Kentucky, and Lynn Overton (Jason) of Osceola, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Victoria Lawson (John), Michael Phillips (Samantha), Ashley Burch, Ryan Burch (Jennifer), Kelsi Burch, Hunter Whiteside, Dustin Hall (Courtney), Josh Hall (Heather), Erin Burch, Lauren Gibson (Eric), Leah Burch (Fiancé Aaron), Luke Burch, Landon Burch, Robert Rison (Alex), Chad Rison (Bryana), and Garrett Overton (Tara); her precious greatgrandchildren, Gage, Gavin, Kenadi, Raegan, Barron, Peyton, Morgan, Kaleb, Ava, Camryn, Kali, Dillon, Derrick, Gannon, Colton, Makenzie, Logan, Jackson, Collin, Barrett, Anniston, Jayda, Gabriel and Gracelynn; her 7 sisters; along with lots of additional family and friends.
Robert and Norma were married on July 4, 1960 and are members of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church.
Norma was a dedicated mother and was the matriarch of the Burch family. She led by example as a mother and loved each of her children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren fiercely. She was affectionately known as Nana. Norma was an excellent baker. She was a firm believer in “porch therapy” and she enjoyed sitting on her porch on Fridays and having conversations with everyone that would stop by. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, from 4PM until 8PM at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East, 11601 Ballardsville Road, for friends and family to share memories of Norma’s life.
