Margie Lee Phelps Henderson, 84, of Louisville, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, October 28, 2022.  Margie was born in Red Level, AL on December 28, 1937, the daughter of the late Lillie and Walter Phelps.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Louise, James and JC.


Left to cherish her memory is her husband Jerry; sons Eric (Jennifer) and Steve MacDonough (Sherry); daughter Debbie Clark (Jeff); grandchildren Nathan, Lilly, Alec, Brandon (Alyssa) and Chris; three great-grandchildren; and numerous relatives that reside in Alabama.


Margie was a devoted homemaker that loved spending time with her grandchildren playing board games, watching movies and attending their sporting events.  She had a very special relationship with her church family at Watterson Trail Church of Christ, her Christian faith was an essential part of her life.  Her and Jerry enjoyed travelling and frequented Pigeon Forge, Branson and the beach with friends and family.


Visitation to celebrate Margie's life will be held at Louisville Memorial Garden East on Thursday, November 17, 2022, from 3:30 until 7:30 with a brief service at 6:00.
