John Gernert III

John Philip Gernert III, passed away on Friday May 22, 2020 at Baptist Health LaGrange.  He was born in Pewee Valley Kentucky on August 28, 1946, the son of the Late William and Elizabeth Gernert.  John served in the United States Army, was a master plumber and loved his wife and his family.   Besides his wife of over 20 years Linda, he leaves to cherish his memory daughters, Jamie Ward (Willie), Katrina Oakleaf (Stephen), and Dawn Ezell, sons, John IV (Sherry) and Steven (Candace) Gernert, sisters, Nora Croft, Billie Marie Prestigiacomo, and Patsie Zimmerman, Grandchildren, Rachael Elizabeth Gernert, Breanna Nicole Patterson, Hayley Sue Patterson, Andrew Thomas Gernert, Steven Lynn Jr. Gernert, Anthony Lee Gernert , and Michael Scott Calvert.  John is preceded in death by his brother William John Gernert Jr. (Betty).  Services will be private.
