Deborah Schmickle

Deborah Anne Schmickle,70, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on December 14, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family. Debbie was very devoted to her family, especially to her 3 grandchildren. She was an excellent cook that would be sure to make everyone’s favorite dishes and desserts at all family get togethers. Debbie was very active with South Oldham Little League for many years and was once voted Wave 3’s Mother of the Year. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 50 years, Carl Schmickle; her cherished daughters, Jennifer (Brad) Geier and Jessikah (Justin) Taylor; grandchildren, Merrick, Ayree, and Isabella; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, January 7, 2022 from 3pm until the Memorial Service at 6pm, all at Louisville Memorial Gardens East Funeral Home, 11601 Ballardsville Rd. Louisville, KY 40241.
