Daryl Ann Marshall-Blackburn, 69, of Louisville passed away peacefully on Monday June 22, 2020 at UofL Hospital. She was born on May 22, 1951 in Louisville, KY. The daughter of Catherine Marshall and the late Veloris Allen Marshall Jr.Daryl Ann was a free spirit that deeply loved the Lord, nature, science, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She enjoyed dancing, playing pool, gardening, writing poetry, fishing, a talented embroiderer, and enjoyed cooking. She had a pink journal that was her most prized possession. Where she kept all her favorite scriptures, poems she wrote of God, and record of her wonderful visitors and memories.The Lord Jesus Christ, the Word of God, her fighting spirit and gospel music kept her strong throughout her battle with cancer.She leaves to cherish her memory the love of her life Husband Arthur Blackburn, Mother Catherine Marshall, Daughters Je’mima “Mima” Mullen and Kezia Mullen, Son, Colin Pleasant (Michele), Step-daughters, Darlene Collett and Roxanne Kimbell, Brothers Veloris “Sonny” Marshall III, Charles “Butch” Marshall, Djuan “Tim” Marshall, and half-brother Richard “Tank” Marshall. Grandchildren Yasmin Ilana Mullen, Nina Aaliyah Nguyen, Jaden Pleasant and her best friend Vicki Wright Davis. She is preceded in death by her father Veloris, and sisters, Renee Marshall, Deborah Boone, and Chandra Means.  Daryl attended  Booker T. Washington Elementary, Jackson Jr. High School, and Male High School.  She got her GED from Ahren Trade School.  She later recieved her Associate Degree in Nursing and Radiology from JTC.
