Algetha Samuel, 85, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, passed away to be with her Lord on November 10, 2024. Born on July 5, 1939, to the late Frank Stockton and Christine Warner, Algetha lived a life full of compassion, dedication, and love for those around her. She devoted over 30 years of her life as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) at Christopher East, where she cared for her patients with unwavering kindness and professionalism.

Algetha was a devoted wife to her beloved husband of 62 years, Amado Samuel, who will cherish their memories together. She is survived by her son, Amado Samuel Jr., and her sisters: Wanna Jean Warner, Sharon Hall, Tonia Bradley, Layla Stockton, and Tonya Trotter. Her brother, Michael Stockton, also survives her. Algetha will be deeply missed by her extended family and all who were fortunate to know her.

She now joins her sister, Vicky Reed, and her brothers, Larry and Ricky Garrett, in heaven, surrounded by the loved ones she held close in her heart.

Algetha’s life was rich with simple joys. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and spending precious time with her family and friends. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, as she was an active member of South East Christian Church, where she found great fulfillment in her devotion to the Lord. Known for her generosity, Algetha supported charities to help those in need, reflecting her compassionate spirit.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Louisville Memorial Gardens East, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 pm. In honor of Algetha’s memory, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association in lieu of flowers. After the service, family and friends are invited to gather for a repassing at the funeral home to share memories and celebrate her life.

Algetha’s strength, warmth, and dedication to her family and faith will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
