Shelby Baker Tharp

Shelby Jean (Grisham) Baker Tharp, 80, loving wife to Paul A. Tharp, passed away on Sunday December 16, 2018 at Valhalla Nursing Home.  She was born to the late Curtis and Janice (Wathen) Grisham in Slaughters, Kentucky on May 23, 1938.  She is also preceded in death by an infant brother, Curtis Ray Grisham.

Shelby was retired from Louisville Ladder and was a member of Our Lady Constellation Catholic Church.

Besides her husband of 24 years, she is survived by her sons, Thomas Wayne Baker (Laura), Teddy Lynn Baker (Linda), Timothy Baker (Maria), Michael Curtis Baker (Jennifer) along with 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.  She will also be missed by siblings, Beverly Sue Sipes, Donald Grisham, David Grisham (Gloria), and Darrell Grisham (Peggy).

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East, 11601 Ballardsville Road.  Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.
