Alfred Darrell "A.D." Lawson

Alfred Darrell “A.D.” Lawson, 67, husband of Katie Lawson, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2019 at his residence. A.D. was born in Huntington, West Virginia February 5, 1952 the son of the late Cole Y. & Elizabeth Thompson Lawson. He had been a conductor for 42 years with L&N Railroad and CSX.

Besides his wife of 48 years he leaves to cherish his memory, children, Alison Rebecca Lawson (Travis Fasteen) and A.D. Lawson II (Angie), sister, Lola Ward (David), brother, James Lawson (Nellie). Grandaughter, Vivian Leolah Lawson-Lewis also survives. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Cole Y. Lawson Jr. and Myron Leroy Lawson.

A service celebrating A.D.’s life will be held 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Louisville Memorial Gardens Funeral Home East, 11601 Ballardsville Road.

Visitation will begin  4:00 Wednesday at the funeral home.
